VISION AND MISSION OF THE DEPARTMENT

DEPARTMENT PROFILE
The Civil Engineering (CE) Section was established since the inception of the Institute in the year 1985. The Department is supported by well-experienced faculty members and well-equipped laboratories. It has always been at the forefront in taking initiatives towards the overall development of the Polytechnic through MODROBS, MHRD Schemes, construction activities, internal revenue generation, etc.

The Department consists of the following laboratories:
  • Material Testing Laboratory
  • Hydraulics Laboratory
  • Survey Laboratory
  • CAD Laboratory

VISION
To develop Civil Engineering professionals competent to face global challenges in a progressive environment conducive to learning technical knowledge and skills, blended with ethics and values, to serve society and enhance the quality of life for a happy and comfortable living.

MISSION
1. To provide a competitive learning environment through a need-based curriculum designed in collaboration with industry, conducive for high quality education, emphasizing the transfer of knowledge and skill development essential for the profession and society.
2. To nurture higher-order leadership qualities along with ethics and values in students, enabling them to become leaders in their chosen professions while maintaining the highest ethical standards.
3. To encourage the spirit of inquiry to promote innovation and entrepreneurship, strengthened with life skills to sustain professional and personal challenges.
4. To foster effective interaction and networking with all stakeholders to work towards the growth and sustainability of society and the environment.
